Assistance, Referral, Inclusion and Autonomy through Digital Navigation and Access
Digital Navigation and Support System for Victims and Survivors of Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking
Co-funded by the European Union
ARIADNA is a transnational project that develops and deploys a digital navigation and support system specifically designed to assist victims and survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking across Europe.
Like its mythological namesake β Ariadne, who provided the thread to navigate the labyrinth β ARIADNA provides a digital thread to help survivors navigate the complex maze of legal, social, health and employment services available to them, overcoming language barriers and the fragmentation of support systems.
The project addresses a critical gap: while many support services exist across EU Member States, victims often lack accessible, multilingual and confidential information about their rights and the resources available. ARIADNA bridges this gap through an innovative AI-powered digital tool combined with capacity-building for frontline professionals and cross-border cooperation mechanisms.
Develop and deploy a multilingual digital navigation tool providing confidential, AI-assisted guidance to victims and survivors, connecting them to specialist support services including legal aid, shelter, healthcare and psychosocial assistance.
Create a comprehensive, cross-border referral framework acting as a digital "one-stop shop" that maps and connects existing services across EU Member States, reducing fragmentation and enabling seamless victim support pathways.
Strengthen the capacity of frontline professionals β social workers, law enforcement, healthcare staff and civil society organisations β through specialised training modules on victim identification, trauma-informed approaches and digital tool usage.
Foster cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange among partner organisations, establishing a European network for best practices in digital assistance to trafficking victims and survivors of sexual exploitation.
Implement evidence-based prevention campaigns targeting at-risk populations, leveraging digital literacy and the project's platform to raise awareness about trafficking indicators, rights and available support mechanisms.
Generate evidence-based policy recommendations through systematic data collection and analysis, contributing to the implementation of EU Anti-Trafficking Directives and the EU Strategy on Victims' Rights.
An AI-powered, multilingual digital assistant that provides confidential guidance and support to victims and survivors. Currently in prototype phase β try the interactive demo below.
This is a working prototype demonstrating core functionality. The final version will incorporate feedback from all consortium partners and end-user testing across multiple EU countries.
ARIADNA is built on a strong transnational consortium bringing together academic expertise, civil society experience and institutional capacity from across Europe.
